Water piping

The water comes to home from underground pipes. The main entry of water into home goes to water heater. Because water heater controls the temperature of the hot water and can regulate the water. So water heater gets water from ground. Water heater heats the water using the gas and then send it across.

We have 2 water heaters one for 1st floor and other for 2nd floor. Hot water is distributed by separate water heaters to 1st and 2nd floors. Cold water is common for both of them.

Inputs to water heater
1. Cold water from ground (white color pipe)
2. Gas for heating (black color)
3. Temperature monitored wife (brown colored wire)

Output from water heater
1. Heated water
2. Cold water (interestingly it sends out the cold water also). Looks like the input cold water gets distributed to hot and cold compartments in heater system. So it will distribute both cold and hot water.
3. Temperate measurement

Gas piping

Gas pipe connection is located outside of the main garage. The connection from the energy company is connected to the outside pipe. The first entry into home is through garage wall bottom as in picture. It goes all the way up to media room as it's easy to run the pipe from 2nd floor. So this pipe is taken to 2nd floor. It gets split to different outlets in the following order

1. HVAC unit.
2. Kitchen stove (in the first floor)
3. Back patio (From kitchen stove )
4. Water heater (using kitchen stove pipe)
5. Fire place (first floor)

Above picture shows the first split into HVAC and 1st floor.

The pipe goes down to kitchen area from Bed4 closet

The above picture still shows the pipes in the 2nd floor.

The above picture is taken from the closet area. It's the ceiling view of closet area. The pipes run through kitchen stove and water heater.

The pipes go to two heaters.

Above picture shows all different outlets. It lists only 4, but actually there are 5 outlets. 5th one is the fire place.
